Launching innovation is just one of their favorite pastimes
2016-11-23
The other? Watching history in action.
While NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson, Oleg Novitskiy of the Russian space agency Roscosmos and Thomas Pesquet of ESA (European Space Agency) launched into orbit on Nov. 17, a select few of Johnson Space Center’s most recent launchers of innovation watched from highly prized seats in the Mission Control Center viewing room.
This special invite, extended by JSC Director Ellen Ochoa, is periodically given to the best and brightest at the center—those constantly embarking on initiatives and projects in the spirit of JSC 2.0. By positioning JSC for the future of human space exploration, these team members are ensuring that the center is making a pathway for change … and far-out destinations previously only visited by robots.
Congratulations to the following employees who received this JSC 2.0 recognition:
Rodrick Drake, AH
Marlon Barabin, CC
Kimberly Johnson, CO
Stuart Pensinger, EC
Justin Bautista, EV
Wendy Babb, GC
Lisa Hammond, GV
Steven Rader, SA
Veronica Saucedo, XM
