NASA’s Johnson Space Center celebrated the return of its annual Safety & Health Day on November 1, 2023. With the theme of “Be a Super Hero – Be the Difference: Protect Yourself and Others,” the event featured an agenda packed with safety and health exhibits and provided by center organizations and local community organizations.

Safety & Health Day kicked off with welcome remarks by Center Director Vanessa Wyche in the Gilruth Center ballroom. She was followed by the event’s keynote speaker, Dr. Isabel Perry – an award-winning workplace safety expert and leadership consultant who delivered a presentation titled "Safety is 24/7: Eliminating 7 High Risk Behaviors."

With remarks concluded, attendees visited the many exhibits and displays set up in the Gilruth Center’s ballroom, gym, and south parking lot. The exhibits shared information on topics such as boating safety, emergency preparedness, fire and life safety, and disease prevention. Attendees also enjoyed free chair massages and health screenings, karaoke, and raffles throughout the day. On November 2, a shred truck was provided by the NASA Federal Credit Union, as well.
