Johnson Employees Volunteer for the NCAA Fan Fest

From March 31 to April 3, 2023, 40 NASA's Johnson Space Center volunteers and about 60,000 fans joined the NCAA Final Four Fan Fest celebrations at the George R. Brown Convention Center. The NCAA Fan Fest is the official kickoff for fans of all ages to test their skills and enjoy the championship action.

The sports wonderland included interactive games, celebrity and athlete appearances, special prizes, and more! The weekend was jam-packed with events for all - sports fans, college students, families, and even music junkies.

The NASA booth featured the Team Artemis Exhibit and photo opportunities, Artemis II bookmarks with QR codes to point the fans directly to NASA, Artemis, and STEM resources. The Artemis II crew video played continuously on a screen throughout the venue. Fans also participated in the space jump activity and learned about NASA's Orion spacecraft, the Space Launch System, and the work being performed on the International Space Station. Fans of all ages also enjoyed seeing and feeling the space helmet, glove, and space food.

The NASA exhibit was definitely a highlight of the fan fest, but thanks to our volunteers, we could share NASA's message of returning to the Moon with all who passed through the exhibit!
