Making a Difference: Introducing Johnson’s 2022 Space Heroes
On Feb. 22, 11 individuals from NASA’s Johnson Space Center received “Space Hero” recognition during the center’s Space Heroes pin ceremony.
The award, previously known as HEO (Human Exploration and Operations) HErOs, recognizes NASA team members who go above and beyond in their work. Recipients are nominated by their organization to be selected as Space Heroes.
Kathy Lueders, NASA's associate administrator for the Space Operations Mission Directorate, and James Free, NASA's associate administrator for Exploration Systems Development, visited Johnson to hand out the prestigious award.
