Currently, I am an electrical engineer on the Avionics/Harness team in support of the Ascent Abort-2 (AA-2) Crew Module and Separation Ring project. I design the electrical connections that interface with the avionics boxes used to power the system and transfer data. Data gathered during the AA-2 test flight will be used for the success of Orion. I also support the 4-Bed Carbon Dioxide project.

What I like most about my job at NASA is that my tasks are both challenging and interesting. I get to work with teams comprised of diverse disciplines with an extensive range of skill levels spread across different companies and NASA sites.

Enjoying what I do and being valued for my work gets me here early every morning. I actually find it difficult to take time off because I look forward to what each workday brings. No matter how similar the tasks, no two days are alike, and management always takes the time to let me know I’m appreciated.

I believe that we all endure things in our younger years that purposely aligns us on the correct life path. The younger version of myself would be proud of how far I've made it in my career. Even though there were a lot of bumps and curves along the way that I could warn my younger self about, I believe it would be of better value to give encouragement: Don't worry, keep your head up, you're going to make it—and you'll be great at it.
