Rudolph the red-nosed … astronaut!

To spread some cheer, colleagues in Extravehicular Activity (EVA) Management Office decided to do some holiday decorating.
Carol Parr suggested that a Santa hat be placed atop an Extravehicular Mobility Unit (EMU) suit helmet. She also had some reindeer antlers; things elevated from there.
“So we stuck the antlers on one of the EVA suits,” Parr said. “We laughed and then we went crazy. It was a team effort.”
The effort led to adorable EVA suit decorations in celebration of the holiday season.
However, the biggest celebrations were saved for when NASA teams were able to make repairs to a cooling system problem on the International Space Station with two spacewalks instead of the three that managers had originally anticipated. And all in the “St. Nick” of time, right before Dec. 25, without any major issues.
