I am currently the Software Displays and Controls engineer for the Orion spacecraft, which will have around 75 displays. It is very hard and challenging work, but it’s very rewarding work. We are constantly thinking about the crew, making sure they have the necessary displays to command and control the vehicle, plus the telemetry that provides feedback to keep them safe during their mission and [allows them] to come home safely to their families. At JSC our culture is very manned-mission oriented, and we understand those impacts.
