NASA Johnson Space Center’s Speakers Bureau, part of the External Relations Office, recently featured Annette Moore, Johnson’s Chief Information Officer and director of the Information Resources Directorate, at a Girls in STEM event hosted by the Klein Independent School District (ISD).
Moore shared her NASA experience with more than 400 female students attending, who ranged from third to 12th grade—along with their parents—at the popular outreach activity held at Ulrich Intermediate School in Spring, Texas. This event supports Klein's Promise2Purpose vision and is designed to help close gaps that still exist in STEM—or science, technology, engineering and math—fields. Klein ISD is honed in on STEM and wants its students to have full exposure to up-and-coming STEM opportunities.
Moore shared her personal success story with the young ladies and told them about the opportunities that could be found in the quickly expanding world of Information Technology. See more photos from the event below.
