Starport’s Wellness Program receives national recognition
2016-04-25
In recognition of its worksite health promotion achievements, Starport was recently presented the 2015 National Best and Brightest in Wellness award by the National Association for Business Resources.
This annual award honors companies and organizations that recognize and celebrate quality and excellence in employee and worksite health promotion.
The 2015 winning companies were evaluated statistically for quantitative data and evaluated on a point system based upon criteria to benchmark and improve wellness program effectiveness. These include outcomes, analysis and tracking, participation and incentives, benefits and programs, leadership, employee input, and culture and environment.
The Best and Brightest in Wellness celebrates companies making their companies better, the lives of their employees richer and the community a healthier, stronger place to live.
“Earning this award is great confirmation that our senior leadership staff understand and value the importance of worksite health promotion,” said Employee Wellness and Fitness Services Manager Evan Thoman. “As a team, we are building a culture of health that will not only identify Johnson Space Center as NASA’s healthiest center, but will be the worksite health promotion benchmark standard for all federal agencies.”
Starport is committed to improving the morale and welfare of the JSC community. For more information, visit: https://starport.jsc.nasa.gov/
