Johnson to Host DEIA Day
The Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity (ODEO) at NASA's Johnson Space Center will host Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Day on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Open to Johnson employees, the event will explore the center's commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment that enables all employees to thrive and contribute to advancing NASA’s mission. The program will include:
- Remarks by agency and center leadership about how DEIA supports NASA’s mission
- A review of the agency’s Equity Agency Plan and implementation progress to-date
- A keynote presentation by Demetria Miles McDonald, founder and CEO of Decide Diversity, that provides tools for moving from DEIA awareness to action
- Panel discussions highlighting connections between Johnson’s Dare|Unite|Explore commitments and DEIA
Food trucks, entertainment, and a Privilege Walk will follow the formal program. Submit your questions for the panelists in advance here.
