U.S. Navy Commander Frank "Walleye" Weisser, a Blue Angels Pilot, was the special guest at the Flight Operations Directorate's Aviation Safety Office event on January 10 in the Building 30 auditorium at NASA's Johnson Space Center. Weisser discussed flight risk mitigation strategies and the risk management process that he experienced during the filming of "Top Gun: Maverick."

Weisser was hand-selected as a stunt pilot for "Top Gun: Maverick" and flew in the front seat for some of the movie's most memorable scenes. He has accumulated over 5,000 flight hours and nearly 500 carrier arrested landings.
