NASA’s SpaceX Crew-7 mission is currently targeted to launch to the International Space Station in mid-August from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. A SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, named Endeavour, mated atop a Falcon 9 rocket will carry NASA Commander Jasmin Moghbeli, ESA (European Space Agency) Pilot Andreas Mogensen, and Mission Specialists Satoshi Furukawa from JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) and Konstantin Borisov from Roscosmos.

NASA astronaut Jasmin Moghbeli was selected by NASA to join the 2017 astronaut candidate class. The New York native earned a Master of Science in aerospace engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School. Moghbeli, an AH-1W Super Cobra pilot and Marine Corps test pilot, has over 150 combat missions and 2,000 hours of flight time in over 25 different aircraft. She is also a distinguished graduate of the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School in Patuxent River, Maryland. Credit: SpaceX
ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Andreas Mogensen received a master’s degree in aeronautical engineering from Imperial College London in the U.K. in 1999. In 2007, Mogensen completed his doctorate in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. His research interests include guidance, mission analysis and design, trajectory optimization, and navigation and control of spacecraft during entry, descent, and landing. Credit: SpaceX
JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Satoshi Furukawa graduated as a Doctor of Medicine in 1989 from the University of Tokyo, where he also received a Doctor of Philosophy in medical science in 2000. Furukawa spent 165 days aboard the International Space Station in 2011 as a flight engineer with Expeditions 28 and 29. As part of his duties, he helped support the final space shuttle mission, STS-135. In 2014, Furukawa was appointed head of JAXA’s Space Biomedical Research Group, promoting research in the field of space medicine. Credit: SpaceX
Roscosmos cosmonaut Konstantin Borisov studied at Warwick University, Coventry, U.K., where he received his Master of Science in operations research and systems analysis. In June 2018, he completed his studies at the Moscow Aviation Institute on the Master Program Life Support Systems for Aircraft, with the qualification "Master" in the direction of aircraft building.
