With the support of Starport and Johnson employees, registration for the event filled up within days of its announcement and topped more than 1,400 attendees. Due to the huge response, and thanks to the programs, organizations, staff, and volunteers who worked together to make it an enjoyable and memorable experience, plans are in the works to make Bring Youth to Work Day an annual event.

Multiple organizations participated in Bring Youth to Work Day and planned activities for youth to enjoy, including cool videos and immersive experiences, astronaut appearances, and photos with Cosmo, NASA's inflatable astronaut mascot.

There were even real lunar samples from Johnson's Astromaterials Research and Exploration Science Division for youth to view. Youth also explored exhibits in the Teague lobby to learn more about NASA's programs and missions. STEM outreach materials like stickers, pins, posters, and patches were provided for youth to take home.
