Off the Earth, taking pictures of the Earth

In early March, the International Space Station captured this beautiful nighttime image of our Texas Gulf Coast region. In it, you can see the major Texas cities of Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Brownsville, as well as other locations a bit farther off, like Monterrey and Mexico City in Mexico, New Orleans and Florida. Also making an appearance—moonlight from our ever-present moon off the surface of the Atlantic Ocean.
