Watch Highlights from the Pathways to NASA Engineering Panel
An inspiring group of young women of color at NASA took part in a Pathways to NASA Engineering Panel for Hispanic Heritage Month.
With the 2021 Hispanic Heritage Month observance theme of “Esperanza: A Celebration of Hispanic Heritage and Hope,” the virtual panel discussion focused on imparting advice to minority engineering students hoping to one day be a part of the nation’s space agency.
The panel consisted of women engineers who are working on building the future of NASA in areas such as augmented reality, robotics and technology, spacecraft materials, engines, parachutes — among other sectors vital to human space exploration. The experts answered questions about their internship experiences, personal hurdles and, most importantly, why choosing to take part in a Pathways internship is an invaluable tool to a future career in aerospace.
