Celebrate International Women's Day 2021!
March is Women's History Month, focused on commemorating and encouraging the study, observance and celebration of the vital role of women in American history. To celebrate the incredible contributions of the women at JSC and WSTF, JSC will host the second annual International Women's Day (IWD) event on March 8, 2021 at 12 p.m. CT on YouTube.
This year's event will consist of a panel discussion on the topic of normalizing women in STEM and a video presentation of the IWD2021 photo gallery. The panel discussion will be moderated by JSC Deputy Director Vanessa Wyche and will include the crew of NASA's Boeing Starliner-1 mission, astronauts Suni Williams, Jeanette Epps, and Josh Cassada.
Be prepared for an hour of deep conversation and plenty of laughs as the majority-female crew discusses training for their upcoming mission, how they were able to overcome challenges to find success in their careers, and what we can all do to normalize women in STEM. This is one panel that you are not going to want to miss!
