Celebrate Earth Day With a LEGO Build!

2020-04-19

Feeling creative? Looking for a way to celebrate Earth Day at Home? For the 50th anniversary of this global celebration, we want to see your best planet or space inspired LEGO builds!

On Earth Day, LEGO builders around the world will have a special #LetsBuildTogether challenge developed with NASA. Meanwhile, see how you can use LEGO bricks or other stackable blocks to make a 3D model of the precipitation data from Hurricane Irma and of the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) Core Observatory satellite that collects the data. And while you’re there, learn more about how NASA measures rain, snow and other forms of precipitation on the GPM Education Page.

Grab those bricks and create a masterpiece. Submit your time-lapse videos or photos to jsccommu@mail.nasa.gov by 5 pm CT on Tuesday, April 21 for a chance to be featured on JSC internal sites or social media!

Feel free to also share your creations on your own social media accounts with the hashtags #EarthDayAtHome and #LetsBuildTogether.
