2020-03-26
Selected as third-place winner and finalist during the Fifth Annual CineSpace 2019 film competition, “Mack Minded: Humanly Possible” is a short film produced and directed by Susan Carol Davis that illustrates Texas Woman’s University professor Dr. Pauline Beery Mack’s quest for knowledge on bone density, which ultimately provided NASA invaluable information for human spaceflight.
In honor of Women’s History Month, watch Dr. Mack’s pursuit of science, technology and statistical research in the 1950s to 1970s — a time when women scientists were rarely recognized among their male peers.
