On Jan. 30, the NASA Johnson Space Center team honored the men and women whose lives were lost serving the nation’s space program — the crews of Columbia, Challenger and Apollo 1 — during a touching Day of Remembrance ceremony in the Astronaut Tree Grove. Around the center, employees observed a moment of silence at 12:05 p.m. Minutes later, T-38s roaring overhead moved into a missing man formation, adding to the commemorative occasion.
