On May 16, NASA Johnson Space Center cyclists demonstrated environmentally friendly commuting during the Annual Bike to Work Day event.
Biking to work, when done safely, is not only great for the
pocketbook—it’s also beneficial to Mother Earth and city planners, who need to know
there is a need for bike lanes before restructuring roadways and thoroughfares.
Through Bike to Work Day, veteran riders joined newbies for group rides to the center during the morning commute, which provided safety in numbers and illustrated the simple joys in slowing down.
