NASA has launched a new interactive website that lets you explore how NASA technology appears in everyday life.

NASA Home & City is an interactive experience for desktop and mobile devices that demonstrates the NASA Spinoff technologies that have come from America’s investment in space and have yielded new technologies that improve life across Earth.

NASA Home & City features about 130 Spinoff technologies, reflecting just a small sample of the thousands of NASA Spinoff and dual-purpose technologies.

The website takes users through a virtual tour of buildings and rooms to discover everyday items that were influenced by NASA. Each item within the buildings has an explanation of how it started as NASA technology. As an example, students can take a look inside a virtual airport to learn how features of commercial airplanes were improved by NASA. Other examples of how NASA technology shows up in grocery stores may surprise you!
