Big Donations, Big Hearts Evident During This Year’s Food Drive
From Sept. 4 to Oct. 11, NASA’s Johnson Space Center showed their generous spirit during JSC Feeds Families, the annual food drive that aims restock the Galveston County Food Bank before the holiday season. The behemoth goal for Johnson was 60,000 pounds—and even that was shattered by an outpouring of donations and support. The pounds of food transferred to the food bank eclipsed 77,000!
Among organizations on-site, winners were determined in two ways: by highest gross weight of donations and highest per-person weight of donations.
Johnson’s most benevolent organizations for JSC Feeds Families:
2018 Highest Gross Weight of Donations
White Sands Test Facility Materials and Components Laboratories Services (RF)
2018 Highest Per-Person Weight of Donations
International Space Station Program Planning and Control Office (OH)
However, it could easily be said that the real winner here is our community, who will benefit from these substantial donations.
