Astros revelry (minus the cracker jacks)

2018-09-24
On Sept. 20, the NASA Johnson Space Center team came out to root, root, root for the hooooome team—our Houston Astros.

As the Astros play toward another World Series win, the epic trophy made a special stop in the Teague Auditorium, along with Orbit, the Astros mascot, and Shooting Stars dance team members. For a few hours, Johnson team members mingled, took selfies and posed for group photos during this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

All the Astros revelry led up to the NASA Night game on Sept. 21 at Minute Maid Park, where NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough threw out the first pitch. The Astros took on the California Angels, clinching a postseason spot with an 11-3 win.

Was NASA the good-luck charm? We’d like to think so.
