A Discussion on Conflict Resolution

2020-10-27

When things change, it is natural for there to be tension that can all too often result in conflict. 2020 has brought on additional stresses, from COVID lockdowns, a presidential election, or even changing your daily work or exercise routines. October is conflict resolution month.

To continue the focus on resolving conflict in a healthy and productive way, the Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity put together a panel with the different offices at JSC that focus on conflict resolution to discuss the resources available at JSC to help employees manage and resolve conflict at work and at home.

If you find this information valueable, we encourage you to bookmark the brand new Resolving Issues Team website and share it with your colleagues - you never know when you or a coworker may need it.

Highlights from the panel

  • Conflict styles are formed at an early age, but you can learn to handle conflict using different approaches.
  • Don't let conflict fester. Many times, employees will ask for help after being in a conflict for months (and even years!). Do NOT wait that long. Engaging the Resolving Issues Team early on will reduce your stress and allow you to focus on accomplishing the mission.
  • You never have to deal with conflict alone. Reach out today to learn more and get help from the top conflict experts at JSC.
