Get Involved with Apollo Celebrations!

by External Relations Office | 2019-06-05

From center celebrations to city wide events, there are dozens of ways to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Apollo. As we prepare to celebrate events as a NASA family, some of the employee events that are planned for July include an Apollo Era Car Parade on July 16th, a Meet and Mingle Event after hours on July 18th,  showings of the Apollo 11 documentary, speaking events in the Teague and more.

To keep employees up to date on details for these events, there is a box on Roundup Web dedicated to Apollo celebrations that will be updated as more information becomes available leading up to the anniversary. When you log on to to Roundup Web, look for the box below or CLICK HERE to go directly to the Apollo 50th Celebration site!

There are also opportunities to engage all across the city by participating in NASA Volunteer events. These events are hosted through V-Corps and JSC External Relations.

To volunteer, head on over to NASA JSC’s internal volunteer website V-CORPs and sign up to volunteer at our Apollo 50th Anniversary outreach events that will be taking place throughout the month of July. Being a V-CORPs volunteer is an amazing way for you to share your work and the NASA story. Don’t have a V-CORPs account? No problem! Just follow these quick and easy steps:

  1. Create an account
  2. Browse the list of volunteer opportunities
  3. Sign up to Volunteer!

Below is a list of the five external events JSC employees are encouraged to participate in through V-CORPs.  Volunteer info sessions will take place about a week before each event. Details and talking points will be provided, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm for the cool work we do at JSC.
