Today: Mars City Design Exhibit in Teague

2019-05-23

Today in the Teague, the Human Systems Integration (HSI) Employee Resource Group (ERG) will host an exhibit from Mars City Design, which selects, develops, and nurtures leading concepts for sustainable life on Mars. Each year, Mars City Design hosts an international competition focused on designing Martian cityscapes with a focus on sustainability. The 2019 competition's topic was "Martian Sport Game," in which competitors addressed humans' next level of physical wellness, extra-ability, and performances. Competitors developed designs for a number of sub-categories, such as: Architecture design of a Mars Olympics Stadium, Robotics, Exoskeleton design, Human physiology, Organ 3D printing, Cyborg supplements for space travelers, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), and Augmented Reality (AR).

The Mars City Design® exhibit will feature 3D printed models from competition winners, virtual reality, augmented reality, graphic designs, and more! The HSI ERG will be in attendance to discuss human systems integration design considerations and how to transition from design to implementation.
