Wounded Warriors Cycle Through Johnson

2019-04-04

On March 29, the Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride-Houston wound its way through NASA’s Johnson Space Center after an early-morning start at Space Center Houston, Johnson’s official visitor center.

The Solider Ride is a unique cycling opportunity for wounded warriors to use cycling and the bonds of service to overcome physical, mental or emotional wounds. Forty selected warriors nationwide, of all ability levels, cycled on-site with state-of-the-art adaptive hand cycles, trikes and bicycles that accommodated various injuries and disabilities.

Many Johnson team members, with American flags in hand, stood by the route to cheer on the riders passing through.
